Gasparilla Festival of the Arts
Every year students submit art work for the Gasparilla Festival of the arts, hoping to have their artwork selected and win scholarship prizes! The festival showcases local student artist's work. In 2021 the festival went digital due to Covid-19. PCHS students created digital illustrations to submit!

PCHS won first place in the University Town Center greeting Card Contest in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Manatee Sculpture Contest
Students at PCHS have competed twice now in Ellington Outlet Mall's contest to design and paint the plaster manatee sculptures! PCHS had three student winners for the Winter competition and three student winners for the Spring competitions. Students were selected based on drawn designs they submitted. They then worked with Karalee Hammes from the Parrish Council of the Arts, to paint the statues and bring their designs to life! The winter Manatees were unveiled at a tree lighting ceremony

Embracing Our Differences
PCHS Commercial Art Department’s Mia Gonzalez, 9th grade, has won Best in Show in the worldwide Embracing our differences competition! This is quite an accomplishment, as the contest had nearly 17,500 entries from a whopping 123 different countries. Only 50 of those submissions were selected for an exhibition, and there was only one “Best in Show” student winner. She won $1,000! Mia worked very hard on her painting titled, “Cultural Buffet."
Rocky Bluffs Library
Holiday Exhibition
Students at PCHS participated in a Holiday day exhibit at the Rocky Bluffs Library in collaboration with the Parrish Arts Council. Students used prepared art kits to create small holiday artworks!
