Character Design

A character turnaround is a visual reference that shows a character from at least three angles. Turnarounds are essential for mediums that will be showing characters in the round, such as animation and comics. Artists use turnarounds to remind themselves to keep their character consistent and proportional, to pitch characters for projects, and as guides for teams where many people will be drawing the character and need to stay consistent!  Students created their own characters using questionnaires. They created many sketches and finally picked the best designs for their turnaround!
